General Campus & Residence Tours
Tours take place Monday to Friday at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. General Tours are designed for secondary-school students considering undergraduate studies at McMaster University. They are led by a current McMaster student who can provide you with information about our campus as well as student life.
Saturday tours will be offered on January 19, 2019, February 9, 2019 and March 2, 2019. These tours are student-run. Liaison officers are unavailable on Saturdays for admissions and academic advice, but can be contacted during our regular office hours: Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
All tour options require you to register in advance. Online registration closes two business days prior to the actual tour date.
These 90-minute general walking tours are not program-specific. Tours typically include:
- Student Centre
- Athletic centre
- One eatery
- Two residence styles
- One library
- A lecture hall
- A tutorial room and/or lab
- Other facilities

Program Specific Tours
Faculty of Engineering Tours
Faculty of Engineering Tours cover our four programs: Engineering, Integrated Biomedical Engineering & Health Sciences, Bachelor of Technology, and Computer Sciences. Tours are led by a current Faculty of Engineering student, and provide information about our programs, extracurricular activities, and student life.

Science Tours are 60 minutes in length and are operated by the Faculty of Science from the Burke Science Building. These tours highlight the labs and facilities used by students in Level I Science programs.
Join us Thursday or Friday, at 10:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m., to participate in a Science Tour. Tours are free of charge. To book your Science Tour.

Residence-Only Tours are only offered during the month of May. Additional Residence-Only Tours are available via the Housing Admissions Office later in the summer once Residence Assignments are released.
