Secondary School Group Tours

Our School Group Tours are designed for prospective high-school-aged students who intend to apply for university in the next couple of years. If you are a teacher interested in arranging a Campus Tour for a group of high-school students, please contact our Campus Tour Coordinator via tours@mcmaster.ca or 905-525-9140, ext. 23650.

Elementary School Group Activities

If you are interest in bringing elementary-school-aged students to visit our campus, we recommend arranging an age-appropriate activity. Some of the activities that McMaster offers include, but are not limited to:

ALTITUDE

  • Achieving Leadership Through Integrated Teamwork, Unity, Dedication & Empowerment
    • For example: Alpine Tower, Indoor Climbing Wall, Low Ropes Course, etc.

Canadian Centre for Electron Microscopy (CCEM)

  • Facilitates STEM education for high school students through lab tours and/or presentations
  • Increase knowledge in the basics of electron microscopy and the interesting results that can be obtained from these instruments, such as chemical bonding/structure and chemical composition from the micron down to the atomic scale
  • Areas of interest include: semiconductors for smart phones, bone and implants from the human body, and energy materials to prevent climate change
