CAMPUS TOUR OPTIONS
At McMaster University, we offer 3 different tour options during the summer months. We encourage you to look through the options below and register in advance for the one that works best for you.
General Campus & Residence Tour (May 8 – August 11)
*Please note: We are not offering tours from April 7, 2017 to May 7, 2017 – due to our Tour Guides being current McMaster students and writing their final exams. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Summer General Campus & Residence Tours take place twice daily, Monday to Friday, at 10:30am and 1:30pm. They are led by a student Tour Guide, who can provide you with information about our campus, as well as student life. These 90-minute general walking tours are not program-specific, and typically include:
- Student Centre
- Athletic centre
- One eatery
- Two residence buildings
- One library
- A lecture hall
- A tutorial room and/or lab
- Other facilities
*Liaison Officers are available to meet with you before or after your tour to discuss academic programs and/or the admissions process.
Saturday Tour (May 27 & June 17)
We will be offering two Saturday tour dates during the Summer. These tours include everything listed above in a General Campus & Residence Tour, with a few minor changes:
- As it takes place on a weekend, the day is entirely student-run.
- There is no opportunity to speak with a Liaison Officer before or after the tour.
- You must book a Saturday tour via phone during business hours, at (905) 525-9140 ext. 23650.

Residence-ONLY Tour (May 8 – May 30)
Residence-ONLY Tours are only offered in the month of May, and take place every Monday, Tuesday, and Friday at 12:30pm. They are led by a student Tour Guide, who will showcase THREE (3) Residence buildings/styles. There will be NO accompanying campus tour, and these residence visits last approximately 60-minutes.
After May 30th, residence-only tours will be facilitated by the Housing department. Their tours will be offered Monday and Friday at 2pm, and you can book with them here once the page is available.

MAY @ MAC OPEN HOUSE

May@Mac is our annual university-wide open house. This is one of the best days to visit McMaster! As a prospective students, you can participate in a campus tour, special Faculty tours, sample lectures, lab demonstrations, and information sessions.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to speak with professors, staff and current students. Please note: Parking & Directions for Special Event Days are unique and will be outlined along with the schedule of events, as soon as details become available.

Are you a prospective student interested in learning more about what McMaster University has to offer? Attending one of these events is a great opportunity for prospective students to speak with staff, current students, and several student service representatives.

Science Tours are run by the Faculty of Science. These tours are 60 minutes & highlight the labs and facilities used by students in Level I Science programs at McMaster.

Engineering Tours are run by the Faculty of Engineering. These tours are 60 minutes, led by a current Engineering student, and provide information about programs,extra-curriculars and student life.
