In-Person Tours

  • We offer a few tour options during the summer months. We encourage you to look through the options below and register in advance for the one that works best for you.

    Once you have registered for a tour, refer to these Parking & Driving Directions for details on where to enter campus, where to park, and where to meet up with your guide.

  • General Campus & Residence Tours

    May 8 – August 11
    Summer tours take place Monday to Friday, at 10:30am and 1:30pm.

    Tours are led by a student Tour Guide, who can provide you with information about our campus, as well as student life.

    These 90-minute general walking tours are not program-specific, and typically include:

    • Student Centre
    • Athletic centre
    • One eatery
    • Two residence buildings
    • One library
    • A lecture hall
    • A tutorial room and/or lab
    • Other facilities


    Liaison Officers are available to meet with you before or after your tour to discuss academic programs and/or the admissions process.

  • General Campus & Residence Tours (Saturday)

    June 17 – Registration is now CLOSED
    We will be offering one Saturday tour during the Summer. This tour includes everything listed above in a General Campus & Residence Tour, with a few minor changes:

    • As it takes place on a weekend, the day is entirely student-run.
    • There is no opportunity to speak with a Liaison Officer before or after the tour.
    • You must book a Saturday tour via phone during business hours, at (905) 525-9140 ext. 23650.

    Residence-ONLY Tours

    May 8 – May 30
    The Student Recruitment Office only offers Residence-ONLY Tours during the month of May.

    Once Room Assignments are complete, Residence & Housing will be offering Residence-Only Tours on Mondays and Fridays at 2 pm.  Registration will be made available at the end of June/beginning of July on their website.

  • Program-Specific Tours

    Science Tours
    Science Tours are run by the Faculty of Science.  These tours are 60 minutes & highlight the labs and facilities used by students in Level I Science programs at McMaster.

    Engineering Tours
    Engineering Tours are run by the Faculty of Engineering.  These tours are 60 minutes, led by a current Engineering student, and provide information about programs,extra-curriculars and student life.
