We offer a few tour options during the summer months. We encourage you to look through the options below and register in advance for the one that works best for you.
PLEASE NOTE: We are not offering Campus Tours on Friday, November 17, 2017 — in order to prepare for our Fall Preview Open House (Saturday, November 18, 2017)
Parking & Directions for General Tours & Where to Meet Your Guide
Once you have registered for a tour, refer to these Parking & Driving Directions for details on where to enter campus, where to park, and where to meet up with your guide.
September 18 – December 1, 2017
Fall tours will take place Monday to Friday, at 10:30am and 1:30pm. Please note: We will not be offering tours during the Fall mid-term recess (October 9-13, 2017).
Tours are designed for secondary school students considering undergraduate studies at McMaster University. They led by a current McMaster student, who can provide you with information about our campus, as well as student life.
These 90-minute general walking tours are not program-specific, and typically include:
- Student Centre
- Athletic centre
- One eatery
- One residence style
- One library
- A lecture hall
- A tutorial room and/or lab
- Other facilities
Unfortunately, we are offering any more Saturday tour dates for the Fall. Registration for 2018 Saturday Tours will be made available online at the end of November/beginning of December.
If you were hoping to visit us on a Saturday before the holidays, register to come visit us during our second Fall Preview open house (below) on Saturday, November 18, 2017.

Our School Group Tours are designed for prospective high-school-aged students, who are planning on applying for university in the next couple of years. If you are a teacher interested in arranging a Campus Tour for a group of high-school students, please contact Amy MacLean, our Campus Tour Coordinator, via firstname.lastname@example.org or 905.525.9140 x 23650.
If you are interest in bringing elementary-school-aged students to visit our campus, we recommend arranging a more age-appropriate activity. Some of the activities that McMaster offers include, but are not limited to:

PROGRAM SPECIFIC TOURS
Science Tours are run by the Faculty of Science. These tours are 60 minutes & highlight the labs and facilities used by students in Level I Science programs at McMaster.
