What: A voluntary self-identification for Aboriginal applicants and students at McMaster.
Who: All Aboriginal peoples are eligible to identify, including First Nations (status and non-status peoples), Metis and Inuit.
Why: By identifying as an Aboriginal applicant you will have additional services and information that will be made available to you, including:
- Aboriginal Recruitment and Retention Officer to provide support for Aboriginal applicants throughout the application and transition process
- Information about Aboriginal specific bursary and scholarship opportunities
- Information about arranging band funded tuition arrangements
- Linkage with the Aboriginal community on campus and locally within Hamilton, Six Nations and New Credit
How: When you apply to McMaster on the OUAC website be sure to identify as an Aboriginal applicant.
